Joe (Shijo) Mathew, Co-founder of OpenReel, a rapidly growing US-based Series A startup, has joined VAUNT as a Strategic Advisor. VAUNT, a proptech company aiming to transform international real estate sales and investment, is expanding into the US with its latest product, VAUNT Market, and preparing to raise a first funding round.
OpenReel simplifies remote video recording and editing for teams and raised a $19 million Series A in 2021. As co-founder, Mathew has extensive experience scaling and selling companies, building high-performance teams, and driving revenue growth. Before OpenReel, he held senior roles at Internet Brands (Acquired by KKR), where he helped expand customer bases to over 30,000. Mathew has also consulted for tech companies like SpringCM (acquired by DocuSign) and holds two patents in media recording and storage.
Mathew’s role as an advisor marks a significant milestone for VAUNT’s expansion to the US, which launched originally in Romania and currently serves over 70 real estate clients with projects ranging from 40 to over 1,500 units, over $2.1bn in total value of properties and over $800M in transactions. VAUNT is committed to expanding its footprint in the US through VAUNT Market, which provides a platform for real estate investments and personalized support for property transactions.
